Now not sure if everyone has this issue as I think a lot of people play a mech and sell it off once they have leveled it up, but I tend to keep my mechs, thus I have a lot in inventory.
I also tend to swap parts about in mechs so I can save on costs.
The problem is where are those parts....
When the group needs or wants to play to lights and I have been playing an assault I need to then switch to my light and sure it's missing it's engine, I then have to go searching my mechs to find an appropriate engine.
Having either a inventory search capability which would search my existing mechs for parts would be nice.
Or better yet an API to the FORMS which I can then online look at my Mech inventory and browse in a browser (through my profile or what ever) to see what I have and where things are.
This would also allow me to look at my builds while in another mech or even a match (on an alternate screen).
I am sure this information is stored in a DB somewhere so only needs to be brought up in a display like our stats...

I, for one, support this great idea...
There are a few posts about an API but this one is the most recent and maybe it will get some attention.
Just before writing this, I went on MWO:Mechlab to try some little tweaking and I'm having a really hard time figuring how I managed to have 3 Tons left on a build mimicking my main loadout...
I'm not in front of my PC so I can't start MWO and check the differences. With an API that could have been done in like 2 minutes
Just my two C-Bills...
