I think they need to revamp how mechs handle heat and add general movement and targeting penalties for running too hot.

then with that same idea in mind, All ballistic weapons and missles should have the exact same chance to explode. More so in the case of missles and ballistics i mean god i cant imagine giant explosive rockets and alll that gunpowered handling 1000+ degree temps very well.....

It should work out beautifuly look how great the jam mechaninc works on UAC/5's!!!!

and we are running around in 25-100ton walking battle tanks, If their targeting system cand handle the weapons they are using then WTF is the point of using walking battle tanks?

if you want to base your chances of hitting yoru target on luck then please go back COD or Halo and leave the luck mechanic to aiming in those games.

Because unlike any other weapon in the game, PPCs fire concentrated streams of ions/protons. Having higher heat causes the ions/protons to move more rapidly - chance to explode

People who fire 6 PPCs when already at 90% heat, should be gambling with their mechs weaponry.

I demand realistic giant robots with laser guns in the 31st century, damnit!

More seriously, people would just switch over to boating gauss rifles, AC/20's, large lasers or whatever is currently the Best weapon.

I don't think that's the answer. Something more like touching up on the heat system in general or just the PPC's heat would fix it.
