(ER)PPC: should be a precise, long- to midrange weapon with high-speed traveling projectile
state now: can be used at almost every range, even for defense on short range

Suggestion:
increase minrange of PPC to ~160m opt.range to ~620m
increase minrange of ERPPC to ~220m opt.range to ~930m

This would also prevent the "boating" of these weapons, you will need other weapons for self-defense on incoming enemy mechs.
However, the damage below minrange is still something to be aware of.
A "Boat" equipped with 4 PPCs would still Alpha for 20 points of damage
from 80m.

regards,
gasy

PPC and ER PPC are fine as they are now.
PPCs due to min range are bad for self defense and you need some 2nd weaponry anyway. No change needed.
ER PPC due to high heat are also not suitable to be a brawling weapon, the only difference to PPC is it can hurt at point blank as well;but it won't shoot too much before overheating. All my builds using ER PPCs (CTF-1X and CPLT-C1) are unable to use more than one of them viable way in brawl. And you won't say one ER PPC is a problem, will you? So,even if someone boats 2-6 ER PPCs he can't use all of them due to heat when forced to fight at very close range and needs some 2nd weapons as well.Sure,he can override shutdown all the time, but that won't save him anyway.
Btw.my best entertainment lastly is to find a bit separated poptart and keep harassing it with my Jenner F.2 ER PPCs cause them to shut down really fast.

  • LocationStill doing ungodly amount of damage, but with more accuracy.

Just reduce the travel speed and do something about long distance convergence. Instant pin point accuracy over 1000 meters is cowdung!
