RIP - "Wanagesic" and "Alphonse" (Tom)
2 guys from the MW3 "Breakfast Club". You both are sorely missed.

Also Re :Joe Balshone- ***, I had no idea Joe passed. One of the nicest guys I talked to from the MPBT: 3025 days. He was a soldier. Anyone what he died from?

Back in my Mechwarrior 2 days, I was in a Clan in NetMech. Waaay back in the very late 90s, and I think partly into the year 2000. either way, there was this girl that had a brain tumor. Can't remember her name, which perturbs me. She kept a bright outlook on life for the year that we knew her. Seyla.

Not sure if this is the same person, but LadyViper passed away about then, maybe a little later. She is much missed.

<S> to all the fallen.

Yes and Doug Chaffee passed on a while back :) they had an art sale at the last GenCon.

I knew Doug and was sorry to hear when he died, his last post on the forum we shared was "im feeling better" and 2 days later he was gone

I know there are more, so lets keep this thread alive. By seeing that their names are added here.

I know we owe a lot to those who have passed on, for without them, we all would not be who we are today.

I knew we had a lot of Battletech/Mechwarrior pilots in the armed forces all over the world, and isn't it fitting that they were out their protecting us. I am humbled.

Maybe we can even talk the MWO - DEVS, into a Hall of Fame/remembrance/ so that they are all a permanent part of the game.

I'll second this idea. We need a Hall of Remembrance of some sort for those who have gone onwards. Every group has this list in one fashion or another, ours is overdue.

{WT} Jabberwock died during an MWL drop in August 2008 while on comms with his teammates. He had an undiagnosed heart condition. Raven and I were with him... We found out what happened days later. Jabber was a well liked pilot and a great man as well as being a police officer in real life. We miss him dearly.

Bumped, in the memory of our fallen comrades. Well, it'd be sadistic not to.
I haven't suffered yet the grief of losing a friend to either the Armed Forces or any other conditions, but still, you have my dearest sympathies.

I wasn't around for the golden age, and don't know any of these folks, but the dedication you guys have to each other is really amazing. My hat is off to you, and those I won't have the distinct pleasure of getting to know.

Bandit, this is, what I believe, the spirit that keeps the BT community together for almost 30 years now.
I sense it best epitomized by this quote:

"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
Martin Luther King Jr.

Thank you Bandit ! We are happy you are here. And many thanks for your kind words. You are now part of what makes the BT community stand out above the rest.
