Missle Fix Incoming?

I know it's not exactly a representative test, but LRM's used to be great for forcing snipers to keep their heads down.
Meh whatever, I think we all agree we'd like to see LRMs and SRMs back on the battlefield. Does anyone know when this is expected?

Source? It was my understanding they're upping missile speed 20%, which should increase the number of missiles that hit a moving target by 5-10%, as well as giving less time to react to incoming missiles.
I haven't heard anything about spread or damage.

From the bottom post:
Missile Update:
Missiles are coming along. A lot of stuff has been rewritten and we have to test and retune numbers to get them ready to be released back into the live game. So far LRM's are looking really good and SRM's are soon to be addressed as well. As of this writing we're putting the final numbers on LRMs so they'll be ready for large scale testing very soon.
LRM speed will be increasing from 100m/s to 120m/s. This equates to about 5-10% more missiles hitting a moving target and it's quite a bit harder to dodge LRMs.
DATE: All of the above is expected to be released in the May 21st patch.

There are always other games. I haven't played MWO since April 16th.

For some reason I've been seeing them heaps in the last 24 hours. And in some games, there are so many LRMs on the opposing team that they're winning even without the un-nerf.
I don't know what to make of it, other than to be concerned about what will happen if missiles do more damage again. I fear we'll just be adding another variety of long range sniping to a game that's already suffering from too much sniping.

I worry about this as well. That's actually why I started playing the LRM70 Stalker -- I wanted to see if it was effective or not.
This is how I have formed the opinion that something must be done about the large missile launchers while keeping the small ones in a good utility role. See my suggestion thread, where I have ... suggested ... that the projectile speed of LRM5 could be higher than LRM20 and probably accomplish the desired "LRM buff," making them good for anti-sniping, without modifying damage and producing a new legion of ultra-deadly, brainlessly push 'R' and fire, LRM-boats.
