Ideally, there'd be a TON more energy hardpoints, so I could cram 9 slas into my AWS-8Q's arm for swatting lights, and use the center torso energy slots for ERPPCs.

;)?

Barring that, even a few more arm energy slots should allow for... say... a reasonable number of MPLAS in an arm (or arms, on certain variants) for swatting lights, with the rest of the energy slots being used for longer range weapons.

If nothing else it would give Awesomes a role besides "ghetto Stalker".

Well, it is a beta. I say we at least try this out.

I like it, though giving them a ton of hardpoints would simply result in ML spam, which would be OP. I would be for adding 4 smalls. It would be unique and effective, and turn the AWS into a brawler. I would like to see some small laser / sm pulse dedicated points added to them, but that's a whole different conversation entirely.

For now I think increasing the max engine size on the 8Q would do well. Perhaps some of the other varients as well. The 9M and Pretty Baby are the viable/unique builds because they can move quickly. Currently, when we see any other awesome, dollar signs roll in our eyes. Everyone knows it, don't lie!

Yeah... but then you get somebody who's good in an awesome, and you all rush toward them in a straight line. And they start to giggle.

Just what I want in my awesomes, more hardpoints that are far too low to the ground to hit anything unless I am standing in the open!

At the very least if they were in the arm, it would have some advantage vs enemy lights that get in close.

Also, in certain places (where the hit meshes don't block you) you could peek around corners and pelt your enemies with energy weapons fire.

I'm more open towards a faster energy than more energy hardpoints.

If you are still bent on wanting an energy hardpoint... add one energy hardpoint to pretty much every Awesome's left arm.. minus the 8T (add it to the CT instead). That'll be enough.

I used to roll with 7 medium pulse lasers in my awesome and around 40 or 42 heat sinks. That was one the most fun mech's ever.
