Just an all-range build, decent heat eff. Good firepower. With decent trigger discipline, you shouldn't ever overheat.
Ideas/suggestions?

I have an Atlas-D similar to this only I use Large Lasers instead of ERs. Its pretty effective but your Heat may be an issue if you are not disciplined enough.

You want as much other nonexplosive stuff put where your GR is as possible, so move 2 tonnes of GR ammo to right torso.
Edit: GR ammo can't explode, but rifle itself can (and it will!), so the more other things you have in that componnent, the lower the chance for critting GR (it will still be high, but slightly lower).

I run a Gauss in the torso of my Atlas. I do it without CASE. There is no R&R so I have no problem with it.

I have an atlas similar to this. First off, there is no way your getting through 40 rounds of gauss. I carry 30, and I am lucky to get through 20 before I lose the thing.
Drop 1 ton of ammo, and two heat sinks. Add endo steel, enlarge your engine, and get a heatsink back in there, other then that looking good.
Also, i prefer running regular large lasers over er larges, however, it comes down to playstyle, do you want the extra range, or dps when the enemy closes with you.

I'm not talking about CASE or repair cost. I'm talking about making GR slightly more durable so you can use it longer in a match (the more stuff you put in a componnent with GR, the longer it can last on average after stripping an armour).

I'd swap 2 of the ERLLs for regular larges. That is a LOT of Gauss ammo, I'd at least consider TheCrazySteve's suggestion.

Any Mech I use Gauss and have a Standard Engine, I always put CASE in to prevent the gauss from bleeding damage into the CT.
