will old mech be allowed to fit Omni? The future of battle rech brings Omni hard points. Will my old atlas be able to upgrade like FF armor or will I hVe to buy newer Atlas like Atlads IIc? Want to make sure I have saved some MC for upgraded to contend with clan mechs.

An Atlas is a Standard Mech as such will not be treated like an Omni.

Doubtful.

Last I heard, Inner Sphere Mechs would not be fitting omni slots.

I feel confident in saying that IS and Clan mechs will both have upsides and downsides that will balance against each other.

There are Standard Mechs and Omni's for both sides. Some clans use old-style Standard Mechs, and the majority use Omni-Mechs. IS use Standard and later start adopting/creating their own Omni-Mechs.
