At the very least 1.0 DPS, this puts it on part tonnage per damage and ammo per damage with all other weapons.

You are aware that two AC2's would give you 8 dps per second? Right? That you could fit those on a Raven and get more than 86kph? No?
Most are stating that even at .8 they are un-viable but think 1.2 would be OK?
If an AC20 has a 5.0 dps and one can only ever carry 2, you have to get to pretty close range to maximize that damage and they are poorly armored, slow and terrifying.
Well then, any Mech that carries 7.2 dps, has max armor, runs @86kph, carries a full 5 minutes of trigger down ammo on board, it doesn't seem to be all that shabby. Especially given the new increase in range settings.

You mean TEN MG bullets do 0.8 if the rate-of-fire was correct and if all the shots landed on the target, which means you've got to be closer than 90m even vs an Atlas.
Do you know what weapons have greater DPS/ton than LRMs? Every energy-weapon, most ballistics, and all SRMs.

My number could be a little rubbery, accounting for reaction time ect, and my ping is nth of 250 normally, i'll have to ttry again and video it to double check, it is lower than the 10 quoted no doubt......

Man, it's a terribad build. Even if they buffed machine guns to 1.2, it would still be a terribad build.

Even with the .8 buff it wont be terrible, it will get a niche as an ambush mech in the same vein as most of the a1 vids that come out, the 6mg's will get backed by 2 erppc/llas combo, that combined will core out the rear Of mechs before they know what hit em

Or you could pack twin ac 20's, and be a far better ambush mech.
I honestly don't understand what you are thinking here.
6 machine guns at .8 damage a second is 4.8 damage a second. That's less than a single medium laser power second, while writing far more. How can you think that is anything other than terrible?
