For the greater good! For the health of the metagame!

If enough of us do this, we can make an actual difference (as opposed to making snarky forum posts, which, as far as I can tell, do not). At least, not unless you're looking to get something nerfed.

We need to provide the Devs with hard data on their "usefulness". Please, do your part.

What, people are using these weapons now? We were right about them all along!

Presumably they can see the kill/death ratios of people when they use specific weapons, just as we can.

Couldn't they make the same inference from the lack of use? Like... hey nobody actually uses these weapons, I wonder why... hmmm, quite the conundrum.

Evidently not. Or at least, not a strong enough inference to warrant anything more than an occasional TINY tweak every few patches, and given the length of time between patches, at the current rate we will have usable mgs sometime around the REAL year 3050.

It's hard to convince the devs that stuff that is unused are useless and sometimes it doesn't take a genius to figure out why.

Then again, figuring out MGs were useless wasn't rocket science and it took many whines to give them a "minimum" of a bump by doubling DPS...

Of course, they also plan to buff BAP into a different extreme, but for the same of keeping within the discussion... the obvious escapes PGI.

I still find it incredibly amusing that they will double a weapon's DPS to try to make it competitive...

...and that won't be enough.

Yet people swear the MG is fine as it is.

edit: in before "I run 2xLB-X 10 and 4xMG on my DD and do fine!"

I use the LB10X on one of my mechs... and it's probably my favourite mech... so I'm doing my part! :ph34r:

If the current data doesn't convince them, new data won't help. Anyways, I play the game for fun. The reason I don't use any of those pieces of equipment is because I've tried them and they're all painful to use (well, except TAG).

I use a 6 flamer jenner all the time >.>

I just wish I could seperate the mech info between the flamer Jenner F and the 6 ml jenner F i used for the tourny.

I encounter LBX on the battlefield everyday. Once I see their mech info readout, my stress lowers and I move on to a higher priority target.

Gee...not even a 'red headed stepchild" could not get just how worthless these weapons are right now. Why would any ***** waste time and space for a totally worthless NARC...that lasts for ONE...count it ONE missile salvo (it really doesn't do much even for that one also)...for a LRM that is nerfed to the point where it is loaded more for fireworks pretties rather than the pathetic .7 per missile actual hit...minus the massive amount of missies...AMS shoot downs...missiles that hit obstructions as the targeted mechs sauder behind cover during the 6-8 SECOND travel time after the initial warning...

No why would any light waste its time with NARC...

and the same logic applies to the other worthless weapons..

Like I said...this AIN'T rocket science...

Even PGI gets it...it is simple common sense to anyone who actually played MW3 and 4...

Ah well

The question is are 6 PPC stalkers just more fashionable then Dual LBX/10 Jaegers?

Maybe you're spending most of the game 50 meters from your opponents and suck at shooting? If you liked the hit everything effect of the Splat-Cat? Maybe the LBX/10 would be better suited for you then a PPC?

Are we sure that the Flamer/Machinegun Spider isn't secretly the bane of PPC and Large Laser Assault boats?

Why... No. Maybe we don't know. Maybe a dozen people have tried these weapons in isolated instances and found them lacking, Went onto the forums and told us all that they are terrible and to avoid them.

I actually had great success with my dual LBX, 4 Mlas Jager, before I sold it. I don't think it's nearly as bad as the MG, AC2 or AC5, whose main effect are to stun the enemy momentarily while they roll on the floor laughing.

Sephlock kinda has a point. Repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is a sign of insanity.

So far, not using useless items has not convinced the developers to change them. So maybe it's time to change the tactics?

Of course, we might just change from one not-working tactic to another.

Nothing good will come of this thread. If you're lucky, if you really work hard, the only change you'll see is PGI nerfing flamers. Maybe ECM will also disable MGs or something.
