So I had leftover MC in the exact amount needed to buy the Orion1 K(C) I said to myself... hold my beer.... and grabbed it. I had heard that this really wasn't very good well...I absolutely am not even remotely enjoying this walking coffin, lol.

Any recommendations on a good build for this or tips on how to actually use it and be usefull would be greatly appreciated

That's the one Orion I don't have, so all I really have to offer is a cursory glance at mechspecs.

Standard engine, ac20, 4 Mlas and a couple of SRMs maybe?

I've been very successful with the load out that Redshift posted: std 300, ac20, 4 ml, srm6, srm4. It will start performing better when you get the elite skills unlocked. The thing to remember is to stay mobile and don't just stand in front of your target or in the open.

I've mastered all of the Orions. They all make good LRM platforms as well, for leveling up it might not be terrible to load up on 4 ML and mass LRM until you get the basics unlocked.

I run mine with 4 ML, AC20, and either LRM or SRM depending on my mood.
