I was just trying to reinstall the game (to see if it would reverse the massive FPS loss from a couple patches back), but i ran into a problem

when i uninstalled the game it told me that the process failed. after checking the game directory, there is nothing left.

when i DLed the installer and tried to reinstall it tells me that MWO is already installed, and to unistall any previous versions of MWO. so where are these rouge files that i need to axe?

anyway, i dont know how or where the log file is (the one that described how the uninstall failed) and i forgot to save a copy of it. here is the log of the failed install

hopefully this is an easy fix

It's because there are registry entries left that make the installer think the game is installed.

Use the registry clean option on a program like CC cleaner, it will find the rogue entries and removed them.

Just double checking you ran the registry option, and not the temporary file sweeper?

I am getting the same uninstall error:
Applied execute package: MechWarrior_Online.msi, result: 0x80070643
I have tried both suggestions to no avail, and I keep getting a session lost error every time I try to join a match. With fix it I ran both troubleshoot scenarios, and yes I did do the registry option. Perhaps it is some files that got corrupted in the latest patch?
