Im not saying people will NEED to disable their HUD to do things like that, but doing so would sure make it easier and even look nicer in most cases.
So who's with me? Let the creative minded pilots of MWO gather here and show our support for an often overlooked feature!

So you saying no because you personally wont need it..? Ok I guess i can accept that but just how would it get in the way? It could be tied to a key command that could just never be hit on accident, like ctrl+alt+] or something. And on a note like that, many players will be playing with joysticks anyway, and the ones who will still be using a mouse/keyboard set up will likely set all the commands close together on one side for better reaction times/ease of use anyway. Its about the only way to easily move and shoot at the same time accurately in this kind of game.
*EDIT* No, im not saying joystick is better or something like that. I played through all of my first run of mw3 and much of mw4 without one thanks to the lack of money on my part. (Heck I borrowed my copy of 3 back in the day) so I know its just as good in the right hands, you just often need to re-bind keys. I just prefer a joystick for the immersion feel I get.
Also, my first run of mw2 was actually the ps1 port so I know how a gamepad could feel too, though Id never wanna do that again

Joking aside a simple option wouldn't hurt anyone. Just a simple toggle in the options menu

SHIFT F11 disables it in-game, currently.
