I've played the trial versions. Not bad mechs. But I wouldn't pay MC for the 10% bonus. I have three heroes (just bought the Misery and X5) so between them and the founders mechs (the C1 and D specifically) I'm good to go on bonuses.

Do I look down on champion mech owners? No.

I do however shake my head at them. Because the only bonus to the variant is a experience increase. The problem is it's not an general experience increase which makes it's added value non-existent.

See, PGI gets it's money mainly though Hero Mechs, Cockpit fluff items, Mech XP to General XP conversions and camo items. By making champion mechs only get a 5-10% increase to experience gain they are subliminally trying to push you to convert the XP. Especially considering you could buy the variant with C-bills and build into the same mech for 0 real dollars.

It's just not a good economic decision on the buyers part.

Sorry, but IMO anybody that looks down on ANY other mech owned by another player due to some percieved devauing of their own virtual equipment probably has better discussid with a mental health professional than an internet forum.

This is *edit: probably* incorrect.

Gathering MechXP 5% faster directly = gathering GXP 5% faster when using that mech (all other factors being identical), because GXP is a percentage of earned MechXP.

It`s not much, but it factually is should be there.

I too run a YLW and wreak faces. regularly getting 4 kills a match. To pilot a YLW successfully is to be full of Moxy! HERE HERE!

This is incorrect.

Assuming its really calculated in that way (with the bonus factored in).

Agreed, but since GXP is calculated off of total match XP (5% I think), and the Bonus is applied to all XP gained in the match, it SHOULD work out that way. But AFAIK nobody has run the actual numbers set, so tangible confirmation is admittedly a problem...

Eh, let the Founders be ******** all they want. I've found that seeing the (F) next to a mech's designator is like a coin flip. The Founders I've seen are pretty much an even split between great and worthless.
