Has anyone found a reasonably priced alternative to read this book? I would like to start reading them chronologically (history of world) and I am at a loss of where to find the first book. Has it ever been reprinted or on audio? Am I forced to find a collectors book to enjoy it?

I haven't looked to hard honestly. I found a few for high prices. I did some research though, and while the book is the first, many believe you can start with the The Saga of the Gray Death Legion. I did. I plan on rewarding myself with a nice expensive copy of #1 when I finish the series...or at least get to the Dark Ages.
