How about a 3025 tournament? No Gauss, No ER Weapons, No XL Engines, No Double Heat Sinks, No Pulse Weapons, No Atremis, No ECM, No TAG, and No Ultra AC.

Too many people want to play the Min/Max Warrior Tournaments. But, would be nice.

No XL engines? "No light mech tournament" sounds like it would be a more accurate name.

I'd play it anyways though, it'd be interesting.

This is the build I'm thinking. Too many people think that alpha striking all the weapons is the only way to win.

Any Light build with a standard engine is an inferior light build - Lights are the mechs that have the least weight to spare and (comparatively) the most space.

Maybe those builds will be competitive against each other, but against any properly outfitted Light or a Medium, Heavy, or Assault that would use a standard engine anyways they'll be at a severe disadvantage. Without a tournament-only queue they'd be eaten alive.

This is my favorite 3025 Light 'Mech ATM. I've fought a JR7-F and CDA-3M solo, at seperate times and matches, on Caustic Valley and managed to win. It does take some consistent aiming with the AC/5 to their Center Torso though. And one day, I'll have speed tweak so they can't circle so fast.

This would be so cool. Or a stock 'mechs only tourney. In both cases, you'd have to split winning up by weight bracket, given the disadvantages of lights in each.

Raven 4X is 3031, I believe. So pick a new chassis!
A few other chassis will also be unavailable. Obviously any Star League tech upgrades like the CN9-D, AS7-K, AWS-9M, etc. Cataphract 1X is introduced in 3025, but the other variants are too late. Raven only has its 1X too. Cat K2 too late as well.

Doh! Yup, 3031. Sadly, even the RVN-2X was 3030, so none of the Ravens are eligible. Hmmm...might have to go Spider!!!

Lol. I do disapprove of increased laserage, particularly when it undermines dakka.

And yes, didn't realize the 1X wasn't in the game, as I don't raven, except with my ghetto BZK. Probably should have, but didn't put much thought into whether they would have pulled a YLW with the EW package.

You know, I just had a really horrifying thought. What if they offer Clan Mechs or Clan Tech as prizes? The boosting would be dialed up to 11000%... sweet merciful poopypants. I bet they'd do it too.
