My most interesting build is a Cat A1 with 3x SSRM2 in the right arm, 3xLRM5 in the left. Since most players are right-handed and have a tendency to shoot at targets to their right, if I lose my left ear (which, when facing an enemy, is on the right side) I still have short-range firepower. Chain-firing ALL ZE MISSILES! at 200-250m is also fun.

my favorite jaggermech of late is 1 gauss 1 ac20 2 x ml with an XL 265 engine for some reason. Only packs 20 and 21 ammo respectively but this thing tends to confuse people (they are not sure whether to close or run)

I call him diplomat (since I couldn't decide if I wanted to run dual gauss or dual ac20 now that my other jag is 3 uac5 2xml)

Had a STK-3F with 6 MPL's and 4 x ssrm - it was way underweight but it had a couple distinct advantages namely being able to fire those 6 mpl over and over and over........ that and defense against non ecm lights.

My favorite weird build is my JM6-DD build.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7b91e661d96b3cd

It doesn't really do lots of damage but its fast, can snipe a bit and when you drop a constant stream of 6MG's on someone it really gets under their skin. Makes me laugh every time someone switches their primary target to me instead of the atlas or awsome that WILL DESTROY them. LOL

LRM-4SP

It's a lot of fun, and sometimes I get high damage games with it too. Love piloting this on Caustic. It's great for suppressing the enemy team, because if they try to poptart you can flank them from 800m away running 90kph. To get a high damage game, you usually want to flank at ~250 - 300m. This way you can alpha strike with the mediums as well.

Very fun, and relatively cheap. Give it a go =)

Slap on that extra heatsink.
Horizons of Chaos 2 ftw.

I found that a Jager with 6 Machine Guns and 1 Large Laser is freaking awesome. Scarily, this mech I get more kills and assists in than any other so far!

10,000 shots for the Machine Guns means you can spray and spray and spray and it seems to really put people off!! and it sounds AWESOME

4 pulse laser and 4 mg(6000 rds) jagger. Loved it. Run it hot with the pulse, then circle them with mgs till you cool down. Basicly constant fire. So they are registering damage, the sound wont quite, and i just keep going and going. Most panic after there first two alphas and try and retreat. LOVE IT. DAKAKAKAKAKAK

Load up a Raven 4x with an ac20, max its armor, put in a Xl engine, and fill it to the brim with Ac20 ammo

( add a small laser to this one)

other RVN novelty builds that are surprisingly effective:
"Scoot and Poot" RVN 3L w/ LRM10, TAG, and a small laser
"Tiny Tart" 2PPC and max out the jump jets (I have done ERPPC as well but the heat!)

Jenner K with 2 Jump Jets, 1ERPPC, and a lot of heat sinks. Fun, and surprisingly effective. Close to heat neutral. I play it all the time now.

Dual LRM20 and Quad SSRM2 A1. Pretty good at baiting people to think you are all LRMs and then surprise them with Streaks in their CT.

I played 20 matches with Quad ERLLaser 3F and my WLR went from 0.65 to 1.65.

I run a bit similar. Mine is 2X LRM 10, 2X SRM , and 2X SRM 6. Not as good at getting lights, but quickly takes down anything else that challenges.

- YLW with gauss, 2 mlas and STD 260

- Ilya with 3 x AC10 and STD 200

- Atlas RS with 4 LPLs and SRM4+SRM6

I wish I could put a light mech on this list.

I've played with this build, and it's surprisingly effective.
