Warhammer/Marauder/Phoenix --licensing issue with Harmony Gold, not going to happen. Madcat [timberwolf] and Daishi [dire wolf] maybe eventually sometime after the beginning of the clan invasion.

Generally on the weekends, and they choose different things to put on sale. You get a bonus amount of cbills for your first ~25 matches. that totals up to 4.8 mil extra cbills. Should be enough for that treb. Since this game is in beta, I wouldn't spend a bunch of mc yet, especially on things you can grind to.
Edit: actually, missiles are a little underpowered right now. You may want to look at a laser or ballistic medium instead.

There will eventually be a "dropship mode" where you can choose up to 4 mechs to drop on a planet. If I remember correctly, you will vote on a map and then pick your mechs. No idea how long until this happens. Could be late summer. Community warfare will be rolling out throughout the summer. Clan invasion should be in the fall, maybe winter.

Armor for torsos is shared between front and back. If you have 50 max armor, you could have 40/50 on the front and 10/50 on the back. Each section also has a maximum armor regardless of weight available.
Unseen mechs like the Warhammer will not be available because PGI does not have the rights. Clan mechs are not available until an indeterminate time in the future when Clan mechs become playable (sometime in the next year we hope!)
changes to how a team drops, including ways to influence the map you will play on, are coming eventually.

hehe, well if we all knew that kindof info, PGI wouldn't make as much money.

so welcome to mwo. get teamspeak and find channels, go VOIP, it's way more fun and you learn ALOT quick.
i don't think i have permission to give the few i play on out, but they are easy enough to find, hell they might be broadcast all over.

Do a search for threads regarding the "Unseen" and the "Reseen". There are a few. Basically, the "Unseen" are the mechs that were cut for likeness rights infringement, and the "Reseen" are new artistic renderings of those mechs that have been used in some Battletech/mechwarrior products.

I've ran into a few people in Ga here.
Concerning Teamspeak, check out the link in my sig, or look here:
http://mwomercs.com/...g-solo-players/
It's a Solo Player support group. Lots of good people, and a dedicated Teamspeak that usually has people on. Very friendly to new players. Most stress free gaming I've ever had.

No, I do not expect them to use renamed or remodeled versions, and I do not expect them to use any of the Reseen designs. note that even some of the Reseen have again reverted back to unseen. The whole thing is a big legal issue, and those legal issues reside with the rights-holder not a mere licencee (PGI is only holding a limited licence to use the property, they do not own it)
What we CAN expect are mechs like the Jagermech, which is so much like the Rifleman(an unseen) that nobody really misses the Rifleman. Looking for analog mechs with the same/smiliar loadouts will be a much safer way to go.

Some tip on mech building:
I'm curious, have you figured out how XL engines work yet? Some mechs really benefit from an XL engine, and I think the Trebuchet might be one of them. They're very expensive but they save a lot of weight, meaning you can either load up a lot more weapons and heatsinks, or you can just buy a higher rated engine for a lot more speed. Mediums thrive on speed, IMO, especially if you want to use SRMs, like you indicated. Jump jets compliment speed very well, too.
The downside to XL engines? If you lose a side torso, you blow up. If you find that you usually die before your side torsos get blown off though, then an XL engine is usually a very good thing to buy.
Also, you almost always want to upgrade in double heatsinks, even if it seems like you don't need it. Many people do not realize that engines come stock with 10 internal heatsinks. When you upgrade to double heatsinks, those 10 heatsinks get doubled as well.
Note: for medium mechs, Endo Steel is usually a great upgrade. It frees up a good amount of space. Ferro-fibrous, not so much.
Also, Artemis SRM4s are vastly superior to SRM6s in most scenarios, even though they weigh the same. Artemis makes the SRM missile spread very small, meaning you can actually hit with accuracy at the 270m max range, instead of missing with half your missiles.
If you haven't found it already, this site is an excellent mech builder tool. Helps you try things out without spending the Cbills:

Usually sales start on Friday and last through the weekend. I wouldn't buy mechs with mc - you accumulate c-bills fairly quickly. MC is good for extra mech bays (they can't be acquired any other way) and camo / colors if you are wiling to spend RL money on that. You can also use mc for XP -> GXP conversion (useful for levelling certain "bad" mech variants without actually playing them), but I would wait for a conversion sale (50% off) for that one.

Max. armor on all torsos (CT, RT, LT) is split between front and back. I.e. 48 front + 16 back = 64 total (maxed armor on that location).

Warhammer, Marauder, Phoenix Hawk are unseen - so, we are highly unlikely to see them.
Timber Wolf (Mad Cat) and Dire Wolf (Daishi) are Clan mechs - we are very likely to see them when Clans get implemented.

Possibly when Community Warfare is implemented along with lobbies, but we have no idea how it's going to work.
