When I am grouping using C3 and die, I want to go to my friends screens to relay info to them about the mechs that killed me. Sometimes this requires hitting the next arrow 7 (or more because sometimes it just skips the person entirley for some reason) to view the person I want to view. Why not just have it go straight to the next person in your lance? It makes sense to me but I'' wait and see what everyone else thinks.

Just need a better spectator's interface. Aside from next and previous, I would prefer a generic option to choose whom to spectate, from 8 (or the upcoming 12) players, among those who are still alive. Could be a list in the top left corner of the screen, which you can toggle with a key, and then select the player you want using your mouse.

This is a better idea than mine, especially with 12 man teams.
