That booth belongs to Razor and is their marketing tool to expose the Artemis. Bryan and Russ are doing what normally goes on at E3, behind closed door interviews and meetings with partners and media. The show floor is about 1/2 of what really goes on at E3.

It took me about a day to realize you guys were their for the business side of things, rather than media without a stage/booth.
So it sounds like showing the game in there booth was just part of an agreement, not something you guys are proactively showing.

I don't think it's unreasonable for fans to think you guys are going to expose something to media at E3, that's the prevalent expectation when a developer mentions on several occasions to fans they are going, without the stipulation for business only.
Hopefully you guys didn't let fans think you have assets to actually 'show' the media at E3 if you don't.
You have a couple days left still. :o

Back when there was a real E3, I think the consensus became if you only have little to show, better to show stuff at the end so it's remembered.

Thanks for commenting and shooting straight.

Maybe their spending all their time on the product.

E3 is a specific regional event when you compare it to the global fan base. Let's not over cook the significance of them not allocating resources to this one event.

Then we wouldnt be living up to our name as the the not so patient fans of MWO. Were old, we dont have time to WASTE!!!!!

Wasn't it a big thing.."we're at E3! Doin our thing!"

Maybe it was open bar or they had a big chili lunch.

But realy....the biggest media in the industry shows up right? Flopping on using that to showcase your product that is due out in a few months is PRICELESS, but I guess not in their eyes.

Have people in Card Board box mech costumes bashing each other in a media spectacle periodically throughout the day.

Hire me for PR please.

One thing I don't quite understand Paul and maybe you could clear it up for us; what up with the behind closed doors stuff still? I mean you guys are about to cut this game loose on the world...I would think you would be shouting about to anyone who would listen and be a lot more open about it?

Behind closed doors is where the business happens. The real in-depth interviews. Places where you can discuss your game without the distractions and noise of the E3 floor (which is really loud by the way). We're still rolling out information that is unknown to the community and IGP has a roll out plan for all of it.

I'm sure they are spending time on their product, don't tell me beta work shut down for the event.

I already knew they had no big publisher and already assumed they won't be doing a big reveal like the rest, this game is a different model.
E3 is a money pit waste.

I just wanted to clarify I wasn't cooking anything. Just a real time event that took place, on more than one occasion.
An explanation was given.
No riots or uprisings necessary, nor should there be any to quell.

Is the original post a little misleading?

I mean, I understand that maybe you weren't able to talk to the heads of the company... But surely Piranha had some grunts manning the booth just to show off the game, right?

I mean, when we work a conference, we don't have the president and CEO of our company just sitting there in the booth.. They're rolling with the other big wigs, getting them to right us giant checks and stuff. I put some of my engineers in the booth at all times though, to make sure that if anyone comes by (even during lunch and stuff), that someone will be there to greet them, show off our stuff, and get their contact info so that folks can contact them after the show if not during it later on.

It looks like only the Razer people were in the booth. No MWO People, witch lead to this thread.

I don't recall seeing either CCP or Wargaming on E3 when they launched EVE Online and World of Tanks respectivelly either. (And before someone says that there was no E3 when EVE was launched, then duh thats why i don't rememer it being mentioned)

The point is, this is more or less a niche game without a publisher. Like it or not we are the "movie geeks" of the gaming world. Because calling ourselves "gaming geeks" would be far too embarassing. Would be like calling ourselves the geeks amongst the geeks ...
