Which Mech Do I Choose?

The Dragon is a suprisingly fast mech with the right engine in it making it a good medium/light hunter, I would choose this over a Centurion since they have almost the same hardpoints. Unfortunately I find that their hardpoints are horribly placed on these mechs.
I have played a bit with Stalkers and Cataphracts and do find them to be effective but I do try to be flexible and resist boating, unless of course I have enough tonnage to boat and be flexible like my 4 PPC RS with streaks.
There are only 2 announced mechs that will not be in the game, the Flea and the Orion and I'm not sure I like them either.

Just saw you cruising around in that YLW, looked pretty fun.
Yeah, I'm going to recommend Centurions too. My CN9-AL runs with this build

You could drop the streaks and 2 DHS for an SRM6 and 4, 2 tons of ammo as well.
Its a decent amount of Firepower for 98kph, and few mechs can take the brutal beatings like Centurions.

If you consider the Cataphact, the Illya isn't a bad Hero Mech to compliment that line (especially if you want a C-Bill booster in the line-up).
The Jagermech seems ok so far too.

So it's not like you can only poptart in a tbt.
Really depends on what you want - if you want a hunter/killer go with the raven 3L (since you already have a JennyF, you should know the drill). If you seek a striker, go with the centurion - works even better than a HBK-4SP in that regard.
Otherwise you can load up the heavy and go blasting away in a highlander, or a stalker.
And you can always grab a JagerMech and go dual AC20, or 2ERPPC/4SSRM2, or 2xLB10X with streaks. Then there's the 3xUAC dakka machine (JagerMech or Muromets).
So you just gotta ask yourself what floats your boat.

Why - Because being an underdog is a challenge and you might get an almost functional MG next week.
XL255
Standard Heatsinks (trust me, no NEED for DHS)
Ferro Fibrous
Endo-Steel
2 Jumpjets
BAP
X2 Tonnes MG ammo
X4 MG's
1 MPL
AMS
1 tonne AMS ammo
EDIT
Almost forgot - depending on your playing style:
Fuzzy Dice - If you're a cool ************
Wunderbaum - If you **** your pants when running around a corner and collides with a Steiner Scout Lance
.50 Cal Necklace - MOAR DAKKA!

Edit: Maybe if I find a magic lamp I can wish for a LAM.

Yeah, I'll usually run up behind one with my Jenner and blow off the right torso in one shot. If (more likely eventually when) I buy a Cent, I won't be waisting the tonnage putting a gauss in that right arm. Most likely will put an UAC5 or AC2 and load up 2 MPL and 3 SRM 6s.

Alone, a Spider isn't THAT impressive unless you're an excellent pilot. In pairs with pilots who simply know what they're doing, though? Oof... They can turn the tide.
Speaking from personal experience.

At the moment, I'm content with my garage. So, I guess I'm just stockpiling C-Bills until something wows me.

Jagermechs are also a fun mech if you like ballistic weapons, a pair of ac20s is nasty but having to use an XL means you have to play smart or die fast.
Really we can only tell you what we like, until you try a mech you won't know.

Well, as a fellow founder, I can tell you that the highlander is not that different from the Atlas, except for the jump jets (which are awesome when you have an ac/20 in the arm). A commando will be even lighter than your jenner, but you will get to play with ECM which could be fun. Honestly, I'd say go for the Awesome, especially if you want a challenge. The 9 series is a great mech, but the 8's will force you to change your play style, too, since you can't soak up center damage like the Atlas, don't have jump jets like the Cats, and aren't as nimble as a Hunchback. I think the Awesome will give you enough of a change from your founders mechs to be a fun change.

Oh and BTW Lights are a big screwover for me - so fast and so hard to hit. I really, really hate them.
