Unfortunately this game seems generally just penalize for having hands/arms (the low lying fixed "arms" of atlas and buildings as the most priceless example)
In any normal implementation of robots with hands and arms would allow you to actually raise and lower them (actually even more mobility in btech, but in understand engine has restrictions) enabling you to fire over/under/whatever where torso mounted weapons would be at an disadvantage.
Now they are additional armor looking like an arm you have hanging around your mech, with no real function except allowing targetting outside torso reticule. I would appreciate more function to them.
