I would love a stock only mode.

Yes there should be a stock mech only mode. However to prevent everyone from always picking the same stock mechs the way it should work is you should pick a weight class... and then you should get assigned a random mech from that weight class. Also your team should be forced to choose at least 2 mechs from each weight class to prevent everyone from picking Assault mechs. So kindve like picking heroes in DOTA... once two people choose assault, no one else can choose assault, until everyone picks something. Then you just get a random stock mech from the weight class you picked.

I like this idea, but I don't want to have to run a mech I am unfamiliar with. Therefore I propose that in addition to choosing a weight class, you should then be prompted to choose a mech from your own garage (with the option of a trialmech).

Hi at all
I would like to see stock only matches as well.
This is my Idea how to bring it into the game.
Later, once the universe and planet level fight start. I would like to see something like that

- Planets that allow only stock mech fights
- Planets that allow custom mech made fights

- Even some planets could allow fights only to a certain weight class

that would require each empire to have teams being cape able to master all of these fight types and any user can choose it he goes stock or custom.

How about that ?

Stock mech matches would make me happy indeed.

I like both the possibility of dropping in a random (though selected by weight class) mech and the possibility of selecting your own variant to run stock with.

This sort of mode would help separate the 'MechWarriors from the scrubs; it has a ton of nostalgia for TT fans, and is an aid in balancing the game somewhat for both veterans and new players alike if they choose it.
