that's pretty much they way it's supposed to be. though making it long range would ]be odd.

the reason that are mechs with hummanoid arms is to allow things that gun arms can't do and vice versa

they like polls?

that's rich.

What about the one with 6000 votes against 3rd person

that they hid

no doubt third person is going to ruin the game for serious BTers.

I'm just repeating what they said, in the old suggestions forums there was a clear orientation towards that (now I cannot find it because the search here is crap)

ive been spouting this for a while, but your picture definitely does it's justice for the many who wouldn't understand otherwise.

As a solution to the high alpha's why not make it so, that for example every torso mounted weapon (or maybe even all weapons except arms with lower arm actuator) have a set convergence on the ideal range?
(besides weapons in the center torso because they obviously always fire straight forward)

For Example dual ac20 Jager would do 40 pinpoint damage on exactly 270 range, but in your face it would most likely hit the other mechs arms, equal to the width of the jager's arms.

It reminds me of the old ww2 fighter planes that had a set convergence on their wing mounted weapons, Pinpoint damage was only done on the set range of the weapons.

Hi there! I made the exact same thread about 2 months ago, where in an old game called B-17 you could set the convergence of guns to a set number of yards (default was 300)

So yeah, good idea since I recommended the same thing :D

Not going to happen, Devs have repeatedly said "NO".
The Arm lock is a good compromise.

In short, In b4 lock

The Devs have not said "No", they said that convergence was working as intended. There is a difference. This is a good idea, and with support from the playerbase, the devs will consider things like this.

Thats a very good Idea and it has the potential to solve many of the existing problems right now. If they ´ll add this to the game it really would be less arcade and deeper. Hopefully devs will have a look into this Thread

they also said that they wont change ecm. Now they are completely allowing to counter it. Also show us your source- would like to see it.

In Google we trust! The DEVs apparently decided that particular post should be deleted, but we have a google cached copy right here (take that, history re-writting!):

http://webcache.goog...n&ct=clnk&gl=br

The original like was: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__2008969 (but no permission to view it now)

Sheesh, people are demanding here. And here I was starting to doubt myself on this one.

Chain fire scenarios will cause epileptic shock as the aiming thingy-m-bob bounces all over the place.

Suit ensues, no more MWO.

Just sayin.

Are you saying that people will leave the game if easy mode is gone? If so, I have no problem letting the ADHD crowd find their own game to play.
