Ok how do I put this.

I love to read sarna and try and piece together all the info I can about how the Battletech Universe is the way it is presented.

One thing that I can't really get enough good accurate info about is maps.

Specifically, maps for like, the timeframe of MWO.

So essentially what'd really make me a happy camper and a more informed BT person would be a gigantic map that actually showed what nations, states, and alliances exist at the moment, where they are located, and their relative position to one another.

I can't seem to find anything like that. It's like there will be a map of the invasion corridor, and a map of the Inner Sphere around 3055, etc.

I'd be really happy if I saw a gigantic map that showed the Inner Sphere states, the periphery states, the clan's position relative to that, all the minor powers as well. In 3050. And maybe one in 3040. And another in 3055. And another at 3060, etc.

Cuz otherwise I have a hard time getting an accurate context about every single political entity or power.

Any long winded explanations or even someone showing me how the different maps or sections could be put together abstractly would be helpful, thanks.

Here is the Map of the Inner Sphere which is only about 2 years old. I took this image from Dev Blog 1.

Other pictures of the Inner Sphere can be found here.

Here's a preview from Era Report: 3052, which also features a map of the Inner Sphere in 3050:

Excellent, thank you all so far I hope to see more or other interesting or lesser-known maps as well.

Also if anyone could put up maps of slightly before now [3050] and slightly after, that'll help me out also! Thx

Damn that last one I've seen before, really wish we had one like that for the current time era.

The last map has been manually stitched together from four Deep Periphery sector maps (c. 3095) published in the recent Interstellar Players 3: Interstellar Expeditions.

By and large, the only major difference between the DP parts that would show up on this map between the 3050s and 3090s are in the status of the various coreward colonies lying between the Clan OZs and the Homeworlds. Those colonies were major arteries of trade and transport linking the two regions of space, but were severed with extreme prejudice during the Clan Wars of Reaving. (Hence the large amount of "destroyed" and "abandoned" notes for those colony worlds.)

Well , there are some differences in terms of ownership in the coreward sector, but those are not shown on that map (which only offers the outlines of the "known" coreward Periphery regions, such as Nueva Castile, the Chainelane Isles, or the Kerensky Cluster). More detailed maps of those regions are in various other sourcebooks, such as WoR or FM:3085.

Also, I was thinking of that map set in 3048, and how it compares to the one recently unveiled in Era Report: 3145. The sheer scale of the changes to come over the next century are quite striking... and that's before we see what lies in store with the ilClan and the (potential?) jump onwards to 3250.

Ayup. Gotta love a "setting in motion". Especially where all these developments come with so many cool stories attached.
