Can I Sell A Mech And Still Unlock Elite And Master Skill Trees?

Sorry if reposted, but I've looked around and could not find an adequate answer.
If I buy 3 variants of the same chassis and complete the basic skills in all 3, can I then sell 2 of them and still go on to unlock the final master skill tree in the one remaining mech?  Or do I need all 3 in the garage to unlock the master skill?
