Do these really need to cost so much to switch back and forth? It'd be much nicer to try out different loadouts if changing didnt cost so much. If it has to cost at least make the subsequent switches cheaper than the initial price of "upgrade". I believe this would encourage at least a little more variety in the mechs we see on the battlefield.
Anyone else have any thoughts about this?

FF and artemis are just components. they should stay in stock. and be applicable to any mech they fit on.
Endosteel is a factory leven rebuild of the mech it needs to be expensive and not swappable.
DHS is an "Engine upgrade not as chassis upgrade. I would gladly pay more for it and have it become part of the engine.

If you are worried about it ... buy another mech and mech bay so you dont have to keep switching.
