I thought that I've been seeing Alpine and Tourmaline a lot... Then I found out I wasn't alone so I took a look.

Since they have been keeping track of the map stats, I have a total of 608 matches, a little over 32% of my matches are being played on these two maps. Some of the maps on the list I've only played about 9% of the time lol. Come on guys mix it up a little. ;)

I'm with you on this. I've given PGI a pass on most things to this point until official release except the HUD/IFF/MiniMap bug..which seems to be fixed now.

The map rotations are horrid right now though, with Tourmaline I have 4x-5x the amount of matches on every other map except Alpine which Tourmaline is 2x more frequent than. Tourmaline has come up for me 6x as often as Caustic.... something needs to be adjusted methinks.

Tourmaline and Alpine are intentionally set at a higher weight in the random map selection process. This will be changed on the 21st patch, probably will be putting heavier weight on the new Canyons map.

Tourmaline's not too bad, but Alpine is a horribly imbalanced map. The western base faces an uphill battle in that one every time. I too am getting very tired of the 'imbalanced' map rotation. The 21st can't come fast enough.

Indeed, the pain seems higher because of the large map sizes too. I have over %50 more time spent on those 2 maps then any other maps.!!

over 24 hours each on Tourmaline/Alpine vs. 12-13 hours for the rest...

I must say that I like all the maps though!

I think it will be better when Canyons drops. Granted, they'll likely weight it heavily too, but at least the frequency of Alpine should drop. I don't mind Tourmaline, but I've just about had enough of Alpine.

But Canyon looks to be another big map...

Last night I played Alpine 4 times in a row for conquest game mode. Uggggg. Once is fine, twice gets annoying, after that its dreadful without something else to break it up for a while.

Hard to tell really. But "big" doesn't necessarily mean "bad". Tourmaline is big, but it has ample cover and many areas where I can get my brawl on. Canyons looks like it might be similar. Hopefully.
