I don't read posts so I don't know

Most of my time is spent setting up new things. Things don't break all that often when I'm around.

in reality each one is an abacus with an Etch A Sketch strapped to it.
but on a more serious note: how much argument is there within the office as far as game design direction? are you all kindred spirits and mostly agree what the game should be like or is there constant heated debate over any suggestion? is it common for anyone on the team to make suggestions or is it more strict so that only certain people regularly propose ideas.
just seeking a little insight as to how you approach design or any major decisions really as a group.

he does work with them and with respect to my question the IT guy may be one of the better people to ask. also i asked with respect to the office in general, he is quite capable of being an observer.

in a way this response does answer some of my question.
he has just told me that their workplace is segmented and those not directly involved in the design generally do not have any input or involvement. this is not a bad thing, it is just how they have chosen to operate and may even be necessary if your company grows past a certain size.
or he has been directly told not to comment on this because of some sort of weird forums backlash that could arise from it.

I didn't answer because I've decided it's too close to the NDA line, if only because I don't know how much of the process has been discussed by others. Better to be cautious than clean up a mess

Do you intentionally hold back choice parts from machines, so you can make sure your workstation is the biggest and best in the company?
