Question One:
There is an engine that I like to use in my Raven.
Then I decide to buy a Hunchback and tinker with it within the mechlab.
The engine from the Raven can be put into the Hunchback, but only if I select it->Select Engine-> Remove engine-> Save Mech-> Select Hunchback -> Insert Engine -> Save Mech
This seems designed to make us buy extra engines, or waste time between matches. Will it be addressed with the upcoming UI changes?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Question Two:
I've bought a Pretty Baby and created a build using the upgraded Mech components Ferro-Fibrous armor/Endo-Steel structure/Double Heat Sinks/Artemis Targeting system.
All of these cost significant CBill expenses.
The next day I design a new build, using none of those upgrades. I am then expected to pay the CBill cost again to return the mech to its original state. Furthermore, each time I want to change upgraded components, the costs are reapplied.
This seems designed to penalize us for trying different mech builds, or a heavy-handed approach toward creating incentives to get more CBills. Will it be addressed in the future?
Thank you for your attention to these topics.

For both questions, there is unquestionably a c-bill money sink. I don't think UI 2.0 would address this at all.
However, using an engine you put in a Raven unlikely is a good idea to be put in a Hunchback... and vice versa.

Not going to change.
C-bills are the real "progress point" in the game, and these expenses slow that to extend content. If this is a good thing or not varies based on the player and lots of factors, but when all is said and done:
It's just how it is, and it's not going to change. You choose either cheap and full of hassle or expensive and easy.

yup, the engine is installed in one mech. it cant be in two places at the same time after all.
as for the upgrades, you have to pay to remove them. then pay to put them back again if you want to. yup. its supposed to simulate the work involved in removing all the parts and such for the upgrade, then replacing them with the standard ones again. yes, its annoying, but its what is happening. basically you aren't paying for the parts, you're paying for the labor.

Exactly re: Upgrades.
If I have a new car stereo installed, I pay for the radio and to have it installed. If I have another one installed, the first is sold and another new one is installed. If I decide I like the first one beter after all, I have to buy a new one and have it installed again.
This is no different.

It's a C-Bill sink.

Instead of trying out the different combinations in the Mechlab most players use Smurfy's to do this;
http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab
Its an online mechlab where you can plan any mech ingame ahead to see how you want to make the final decision and buy the parts.

The game needs to have a limited number of trial matches for mech designs in progress or ... I'd pay 10 or 20 MC to play 1 round in the mech I'm thinking of paying 5000mc for... or about to spend 10 million cbills for upgrades.
... but in the meantime... I use this!
