Hero 'Mechs are unique variants of a Chassis. They have unique hardpoint layouts and camo specs, as well as some quirks. They gain a 30% C-Bill bonus when finishing matches.

Champion 'Mechs are variants that are not unique but are community-built. They gain a 10% Experience bonus when finishing matches.

Both are bought solely with MC.

Atlas Hero? Eventually.

A hero mech has
  • a lifelong 30% bonus.
  • unique paintjob.
  • is a unique variant with its own traits and hardpoints.
  • isn't cheap.
A champion mech has
  • a lifelong 10% XP bonus.
  • Is an already existing variant, but counts as a separate one to allow you to the benefit of stacking two identical variants toward your Elite unlock.
  • Does not have any unique patterns.
  • cheaper than hero mechs, but more than benefit-less version.
