Cent and Treb need to go down.

Catapult needs to go down a little. the LRM boxes / cockpit (not the hitbox, which is also too big) seem to be a little out of scale to me.

Stalker needs to go up. Went from a much bigger catapult cousin in TT, to it's thin sister in MWO, tonnage be damned. Tiny cockpit smaller than a pane of glass in any other cockpit (which are all bigger total.). If they have to, they can make the Atlas bigger too, which will help out the Awesome.

I know it's been said many times, but why does a 50 ton treb look so huge? They're almost Awesome-sized.

OP needs to learn to think in three dimensions.

Less important than the balance issue of a heavy mech's frontal profile. After all you can't return fire at your opponent standing sideways.

No, but an intelligent pilot torso twists AWAY from his opponent when not firing. a difficult concept to grasp I know.
And Certainly not less important, as the treb size is perfectly fine, and the op needs to learn how to pilot.

I love the way the awsome is, its soppose to be huge.

I think what the devs OUGHT to think through is a percentage of damage resistance based on a proportion of the area of the hitboxes.

Heres a rough dummy example im not a developer or mathamatician......

Like if a awsome has a CT thats 50% bigger then the smallest CT, well then then 50% damage resistance to that particular body part.

I always thought of stalkers being bigger then catapults and big ol' blimp mechs.

I always think of old AOL solaris Stalkers A size thats intimidating. When I see a atlas or stalker......its eh.....
When it should be like OH no its a STALKER or ATLAS.

Look take the cockpit size of a Catpult streach out Atlas' cockpit to that size then just reproportion, they should make that mech huge.

This thread should have said. Mr. Treb why do you turn like crap, have arms that have next to no movement and a shoddy torso twist?

And an intelligent pilot waits for his opponent to turn back to face him again rather than wasting an alpha strike on an arm. You won't be able to both hide your fat-*** front profile and return fire.

Trebs have amazing vertical torso and arm movement range which works very well for the 7M and 5J with their jump jets, and a couple of the others have wide torso twist arcs which help with the lousy arm movement. But I feel exceptionally bad for the 3C, puny side to side view arc (210 degress) and no jump jets. Its even worse than the Highlander and Cataphract's puny side to side range. And below the 'average' 240-260 degree arcs.

And while I'd love the Trebs and Cents to be shorter and harder to hit, I have to be fair and say they are some of my most successful mechs. But in general Mediums get a lot of grief for their size to effectiveness ratio.

No, but an intelligent opponent waits for you to torso twist BACK to shoot at him before unloading another alpha into your front. A difficult concept to grasp I know. Only noobs fire non stop.

Make Jenners smaller becaue they are ugly.

Make a commandos larger because they look cool.

It is all about the scenery! :-P

Because with 3 dimensions, height is not the only measurement.

Correct however height is the most important measurement. Height = easier to hit from front, back, and either side. Width = easier to hit from front and back. Depth = easier to hit from either side. Height is the most crucial dimension for determining how easy a mech is to hit and there's no logical reason for the Trebuchet being as tall as it is.
