Now that the HUD issues are largely dealt with (read gone), what is the next most important, annoying or debilitating bugs for you? I don't mean balance issues, or meta-game changes, or any other deliberately implemented design decision. Please keep it strictly to bugs.
My top 2 bugs are
1. Ballistic damage not registering on a hit, even after HSR
and
2. Hits to front of mech resulting in damage to the back of the mech
The first bug is likely just a matter of tuning HSR and hit detection code, but it is freaking annoying, especially with weapons like the AC/20, where missing one shot means a large drop in DPS over the cooldown period. Also, it directly affects game balance, because any changes to the weapon will be magnified once the problem is dealt with. An example is what happened with PPCs when HSR went into effect for ballistics: the previously ineffective PPC had been significantly buffed in order to make it viable in the absence of reliable hit detection. Then, when hits started to register alot more with HSR, the effect of the buffs were multiplied due to the increased accuracy.
The second bug is probably due to both wierd hit boxes, and to things like ballistics traveling through mechs instead of being stopped at the first collision, and the effect of splash damage propagating through the mech instead of just across the surface. I really hope that splash damage isn't intended to work like that, as it allows explosive weapons to damage weak rear armor even when it is not exposed. Whatever the cause of this bug, however, it is extremely annoying, and reduces the effectiveness of strategies that try to direct incoming damage to to the areas with the strongest armor. For example, keeping your heavily armor front face towards an enemy, or standing with your back to a wall or building cannot reliably prevent rear damage anymore.
