You sound like you have a lot of similar interests in play style that I do OP. Like you, the Jenner, Cataphract and Stalker chassis all seem just too much like the popular generic (Jenneric?) pretty girl in highschool that everyone seems to want to ask to the Prom. Like then, they just never fascinated me, though I can see why people go for those.

I have played most of the mechs you have and think you should give Trebuchets a try. I enjoyed leveling those up, they are very different than the Hunchback and Centurion chassis in play style. Mixing up missile payloads is fun, even if LRMs are a bit weak these days. It's also impressive how many missiles can be fitted on that medium mech.

Personally I've been waiting for the Blackjack, and if you want more direct fire weaponry, that likely will be worth waiting another day. I know I'm going nuts waiting on it to be released.

If you want a Hero Mech get a Flame: AC20 4 Med. Las., STD300, DHS, Endo, full armor... great speed, turning circle, etc...it's a death machine.

EDIT: Also, the Cataphract 3D is an awesome mixed range mech; you don't have to be a poptart. Does really with with a STD275, AC20, ERPPC and 3 Med. Las.. You can engage from most ranges and hurt a bit.

But seriously, you'll never regret a Jenner.

RAVEN hands down! It is the only mech in this game with more armor than an Atlas.
