But it's not important enough.

They're catering to the lower end users first. The one's that are playing on toasters.

It's not for low end users.. DX9 is all encompassing for the targeted demographic. The problem is that if everything was switched to DX11 only, you would automatically eliminate anyone running XP, which is still a huge demographic currently.

Even a popular game like Starcraft 2, is still built on DX9 for the same reasons. I'm sure Blizzard could spend time to have a DX11 engine (or PGI to finish its DX11 implementation), but you do NOT want to eliminate XP users as your focal core at the moment. Until XP is finally at an all time decline (say 20% of the overall userbase) there's no logistically valid reason to remove them outright. DX11 is supposed to be icing on the cake.. not an entry requirement to a game at this point in time.

The game will support both 9 and 11, nobody will be left behind. :D
