This did make me wonder, now that it was mentioned: will the ex-Cappie territories be Steiner or Davion in game mechanics? I know how it works bureaucratically but I'm not sure the dev team won't just ignore it in the name of sensible geography.

This unit fought under the Lyran Commonwealth for most of its history including the time frame covered by this game. Although I am sure there were units that were fighting for The Davions as well. The Tikonov free Republic was given to House Steiner after the 4th war of Succession.

Yeah, it was technically part of the Lyran State Command, but there's that whole matter of geography. That's all I'm saying; on a map it looks a lot more like Davion territory. Plus, for all that the TFR was supposedly made part of the Lyran state, there's a suspicious amount of Mechs rolling out of the plants there that have a -D at the end.

...Course, the Tikonov Republican has always known where their priority lies, I'll give em that. Too bad it happens to be Tikonov and not the LyrCom.

Geography is ever changing. We are as loyal to the LyrCom as we ever were, but our home is our home. We obey the will of our Archon.

I'm sure you are. I'm just musing on the way that world ownership will work. Also kind of perplexed by your unit choice; it's like picking the 1st Tyr Regiment as your LCAF unit of choice in the Fourth War.

Changed to the 5th, huh? Would I be correct in guessing it was in response to the Devs' policy on canon units?
