I've noticed that after crashing, my CPU is getting heat spikes. Heat that I haven't seen in any other game. Under load, my CPU will go from 40-45 C. After crashing from this game, my CPU approaches 51 C. Has anyone else noticed this? Mind you, this was at 30% load. I've seen similar heat issues in my brother's computer after playing this game.

These were crashes to the mechlab, not desktop. No error messages.

I've noticed a spike in core activity roughly the same time my video card starts screaming like a banshee in an attempt to dump heat - which is something that has only been accomplished by running a bitcoin mining client on it with a nearly 20% overclock.

Oddly enough, while those instances usually don't result in a complete process freeze (never had a "crash to mechlab" - that would be an improvement in my book) - they do cause a considerable amount of UI lag and occur frequently toward the end of a match.

The crashes are seriously starting to **** me off. It seems like some kind of conspiracy each and every time. In my games, I'll notice a few people who end up crashing out every now and then... but most of that happens within the first 2-3 minutes of the game. When I crash - it's right when my participation is -key- to win/loss. It's like there's some kind of conspiracy.

Perhaps it is time related. I've never bothered to look at the time - but it does seem that I am more likely to crash as the game and player count wear down. Perhaps what I'm seeing in these instances is some kind of memory 'leak' that slams into the limits of 32 bit. The bugs that don't cause my computer to instantly reboot (I have not found another program that can accomplish this on this rig... even some Paradox titles that are known for being released full of bugs) tend to go unresponsive with program sizes well over a gig.

Had four crashes three back to desktop while loading to get into a game and once back to mechlab while loading to get into game. After I load MWO back up after crash to desktop it tells me that the Mech I had chosen before is in game, same with the crash back to Mechlab.

Same issue here. Crashing to mechlab in 10 out of 10 games. The only way to play is through a vpn-client, which is making my ping outstandingly high.... Please fix it...

Happy to say that the last two patches seem to have resolved my frequent "hard lock" crashes. Only time I have crashed lately is when the server actually seemed to go down.

Crashing back to mechlab every game now. Got a ticket in with support. Can I have my MC back? Just joking but seriously. Taking money for something that yo-yo's between awesome and doesn't run is frustrating.

Could it be related to an in-game mech being released while you are running something else?

Never had a CTD before. Just crashed (to mechlab) twice on Caldera, in a Jenner, jumping over a particular location on the crest of the crater. It is basically the area between Epsilon and Theta, but a bit more towards the near canyon wall to Theta. I guess it would be the south-west side. No erroors, but it is just like I had used alt+f4 to exit the game back to the mechlab..

After installing a VPN (cyberghost) I have not crashed since. Unfortunately my ping goes up to around 100 when I play via VPN. Hopefully they fix this soon so that I don't have to use the VPN.

I think that their servers are going crazy, nothing to do with our PCs. I played 2 accounts on the same PC with the same settings, the first gets 4 FPS and the second gets 38 FPS both with the same ping. It's a server problem.

I finally found what looks to be relevant info.
PGI has acknowledged the problem sort-of.

There are two workarounds that I knew nothing about before my rage-uninstall last night. I am not really feeling that PGI deserves a fourteenth and fifteenth chance. (Second chances were expended last November).

I will probably monitor them for two patch cycles and then give up completely if there is no headway.
