Did not work for me. Tried forwarding the range of ports with no success. My router is too old to change the DoS setting. Guess I'll have to wait on a new patch again.
Back to WoT for a while....

Hit detection has yet again gone down the tube and my ping is a good 40-50 higher.
Otherwise, all seems good.

No performance degradation ito FPS for me but my ping average increased from 290 ms to 340 ms (I'm in South Africa and it's definitely not my ISP).
My hit detection with ballistics is now all over the place - had to alpha a legged Raven 3L at least 3 times at point blank range with dual guass before it went down (shots shows hits but no damage on paper doll).

Lag to server seem particularly bad today.

How had the patch generally affected your performance?
When the patch was applied, I expierenced significant rubber-banding and every match I joined, I would crash to the Mechbay.
My pings went from the 50 to 75 range to the 120 to 220 range.
I have not noticed a major change in my FPS.
Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
When I first drop, my ping times are close to my pre-patch ping times (60s to 80s).
Once the match begins and roughly when the first enemy mech becomes targatable, my pings increase to the 120 to 220 range or higher.
What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
At this point, I have not change any computer settings
Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
When not in combat, FPS stays between 50 and 60. When in combat, I stay between 30 and 40. If there are alot of missles, I may drop to the high 20s.
System specs
Intel i7-3820 (3.60GHz)
RAM: 32GB
Video Card: NVidia GeForce GTX 560
Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
Time Warner - Greensboro, NC USA
Additional Information
I have been planning on upgrading my OS from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Because of these problems, it seamed like a good time. After backing up my data, I installed Windows 8. This was a fresh installation and not an upgrade.
I updated all my drivers, BIOS, and installed all Windows 8 updates. After installing mechwarrior, I still had the same issues I listed above.
A few ingame friends mention they found the firewall on their routers were dropping packs. I disabled the firewall on my Arris router and I no longer crashed to the mechbay. However, my ping time is still higher than pre-patch. While I no longer rubber-band, I believe I am still lagging. I have had several direct ballistics and energy weapons hit on stationary mechs for no damage.

I really hope that tweet about PGI working on the ping and fps issues is correct. Been bad (ping for me I'm still fine on fps) last two patches. Been darn near unplayable since most recent patch. Now I ping 1200-1700 during a match and very, very occasionally spike down to my actual ping for a couple of seconds. It's awesome... But I still play, heh.
Pew, pew, lag, teleport, pew, pew, dakka, (waits for missiles....), dakka, pew, teleport, (still waiting on missiles...), pew, FOOSH (missiles...finally...at a friendly...), now I'm in a building. Did we win?
Seems every time I buy MC the game shuts me off for a month. It it me, PGI? It there something you're not telling me?
