NEVER!! Oh and they wont score kills on their own but they are a nice distraction/dismanlter now

Doesn't need external HS with DHS. The heavy weps crack the rear armor on most mechs and the volume of mg fire usually keeps em running for cover with internal flashing till you can finish em off. They do a reasonable job on components from what i've seen so far (as long as it's not server lag from the heavy weps) and the build is pulling a solid 400 dmg average when i manage to stay low on the lrm priority list.

Traveling @ 86Km/h helps with sneaking behind fights to put ^ into effect

Look at the stats, guys! You don't need to tweak or try anything, just read the fricking tables.

Battletech: "A machine gun does the same damage to 'Mechs as an AC/2 but has a very short range."

I mean, wouldn't it be cool if the CPLT-K2's MGs were useful to discourage people from entering the PPCs' minrange? I know, right!

I'm guessing it will be another six months before they decide to double the damage again, in which case it will still be 2/3rds of the damage it needs to be at.
