Patch Unplayable

Beginning this patch, I crash to mechlab on 50% of my matches. This occurs at random times for no discernible reason. I have uninstalled and re-installed 3 times, and utilized the client fixer tool.

Ticket in (ticket #81899), attached omicron.log and omicrononline.log, no DXDiag or Crashdump was located in the specified locations.

Utterly unplayable now. The black screen issue is back with a vengeance. on 3 out of 3 matches: Start a match, then blackscreen, then loading screen, then blackscreen and then after using ctrl-alt-del I get into the macth about 20 seconds after everyone else but it's completly unplayable. Lattency shows as normal, but keypresses have a 20 second delay, I'm rubber banding and unable to do anything. Submitting ticket.

new patch must not like me. 4 straight matches with a crash to mechlab. Guess I'm done until it's fixed.

iv submitted a ticket before but i didnt send in a crash dump file. i have no clue where this file is.

Like Axident I am not crashing back to Mechlab, but I am seeing the black screen/lag and rubber-banding that makes the game unplayable. A bit like this.



Ticket already raised and documents submitted. Added to the pinned patch feedback topics above. I have disabled my AV software and that helped for one game - but it doesn't seem a permanent fix, but it might be worth trying.

Good luck finding your resolutions.

LRM feedback :

-flight path is to steep u can not hide anywhere
-DMG is too high
-and all rockets hit center torso?(not sure about that kill was instant few time in the row :( ))
-speed of rockets too high
-the spreed is to small

-And where is heat from all of those rockets ?

So TOO MANY CHANGES TO BUFF ROCKETS IN ONE PATCH.

GO SLOWLY PLEASE ONE CHANGE WITH WEAPON PER PATCH WILL MAKE US HAPPY :).

Same problem. I haven't completed a match since patching. I submitted a ticket already. I couldn't find a crash dump file either. Maybe because the game is not crashing, but merely disconnecting the player?

Hi All,

Please send in a support ticket if your are experiencing drops to mechlab or desktop.. I'm having the same problem since the patch. I havent completed one game without dropping to mechlab. I sent in a support ticket and they think it's a connection issue. I doubt because my probs started after the patch. All my other games work fine.

I cannot text chat in-game, I can do so from the 'you're dead' screen but only BEFORE I spectate. I've remapped the control, nothing works. Sometimes it starts again inexplicably, but only it seems if I've played several matches during the day.

My load times and latency have doubled. My pilot is still running checks when the other team members are moving out. I've gotten the newest NVIDIA drivers, so that isn't it. Windows didn't patch anything. Unless I got a virus that Avast isn't catching magically, this is MWO and not me.

I found a fix for my problem. For some reason this patch seems to have increased the amount of data the game sends back and forth and my router was interpreting it as a UDP flood attack. I increased the detection threshold on my router and that solved the issue.

I'm getting huge rubberbanding issues as well. Get booted back to login almost every game.
Ping in game seems normal for me: 250+, but never had this issue during the last patch.

What router are you using? There is a thread about a possible increase in UDP packets which is causing the hardware (or software) to think it is under attack, restricting or closing off the connection.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'm using a 2Wire router but I didn't find any options to increase packet limit on it.

But I did open up all TCP and UDP ports under my firewall for MWOnline. Don't know if it's this or they did something on their end, but played 2 games with it and seemed fine so far. Hope it stays this way.
