It's been since the patch that I haven't played. It's sufficient that I've been reading the forums lately where memebers are complaining over the same issues. High alpha builds, PPC boaters with guass companions, AC40s etc, etc. Of course it is. The same abusive sh*t.
I'm hoping they address this topic that I have posted on "Ask the Devs 39" pending for today. Like I said before. I'm not expecting a yes answer. Heck, I'd be surprised if we're given a yes to that. Would be the 1st time PGI blows my mind. But no, I'm expecting a why not. A description of why it hasn't been implemented for "X" reason, and why it's not fitting for the future of MWO? That way I'll know that MWO will be who can customize the most ridiculous builds. Might as well be insta-gib ala Unreal Tournament/Championship.

Weapon Tweaks Are Not The Issue. Customization Abuse Is.

PGI will never give up the free customization, because it's the bread and butter of MWO, it's what makes the game different. I wouldn't be surprised if there are daily internal battles at PGI where people are yelling over hardpoints across a conference table.
edit: i probably will eat banhammer for this, but look at the hardpoint system in MWT (oh **** nda)

Player customozation is such a large part of modern gaming, I challenge you to find some games that dont give player choice to kit/build. Customization doesnt make MWO different from anything else out there right now.

Well we got an answer saying the idea is not dead and a promise to let us know the outcome of ongoing discussions.
At least those who are violently against hardpoint restrictions can note that PGI must see some merit in the idea.

Which means you haven't played MWO in some time... Then why are you here offering dismissive opinions?
KuruptU, be fair to him, the game has not changed in any substantial measure since CB, so there's no reason to be dismissive of his opinion, no matter how dated it might be.
