They'd better do a heck of a job with them and figure out how to balance them (8v12, 5v8, etc), or else configurations like this will make everyone stop piloting IS Mechs: (Note that this is off the TT values for the equipment and such)

Daishi

XL300 Engine plus 10t structure = 25.5 tons
19t STD armor = 304 (608 in MWO) armor
5t of DHS, auto-placed
Total tonnage before weapons: 49.5 (50.5 free)

Armanents: LA (1 UAC20), RA (1 UAC20), RT (1 ER PPC), LT (1 ERPPC)

8 free slots in LT and RT,
1 free slot in head, 2 free slots in CT , 2 in LL and RL

16 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 23 free slots.

Total tonnage so far: 10 st + 15.5 eng + 19 armor + 24 t UAC-20 + 12t ERPPC
= 80.5 tons

1 ton of UAC-20 ammo in head
2 extra DHS in each torso plus one in center torso (5 extra DHS, 20 DHS total)
2 tons of UAC-20 ammo in each torso.

All slots used,with 9.5 tons to spare. Total UAC-20 Ammo: 5 tons (25 shots)

Firepower: 70 (110 if double-shots)
Effective Range: 360m, where all shots do full damage.
Don't forget the fact that this is PINPOINT damage.
