Still picking through them to see if there is any more info we've missed. Just a couple new nuggets I didn't catch previously.

-Mech access is flat. You'll be able to buy any chassis with money or cbills.
-Dropships and asteroids possible future maps

I assume that is the stock variant of each Mech? Would be a bit meh if you could as well buy any variant, not matter the faction allegiance and what not. :D

"

When asked how the ranking system would work, Eckman stressed that, “Your rank as a player or pilot will not determine your access to content. This was important to us. We don’t want to force players to grind and grind to unlock their favorite mech. We want them to be able to jump into their favorite mech as soon as it’s available through purchase whether it’s through real dollars or in-game currency.”"

So I have no idea if there will be any limits. In one of the other interviews it was mentioned that you'll be able to buy any mech as any faction. Price is going to be the difference.

[BRYAN] No. Prices may vary, but everyone has equal access to items."

Yah the massive one is the one we were discussing earlier today. Good idea to post in here as well though.

Perhaps they would just be prohibitively expensive?

Some other quotes from the G4 site on environments:

-A mix of open and tight environments is promised, and some have multiple levels
-There’s a junglescape with shrubbery and a city world with rivers, bridges, upper levels.

That article mentions melee combat, and that one map in particular may feature melee combat only. Hmm...

EGG, that sounds real nice. Admittedly, I don't have time to read ALL of the articles, or I would.

Quote

we’re going to have some partnership announcements in the future to talk about hardware which is going to be really exciting.

I see this quote and I'm thinking MWO branded gear (or gear specific to MWO).

Now I'm hesitating on pulling the trigger (har har!) on a new joystick until I know what this is about...

Yah, I saw that and immediately thought "branded joystick" You see it frequently for mice and keyboards. I'm hoping for something mech specific and not just a sticker on existing sticks. Along the lines of the steel battalion controler?!?!

Multiple levels = DFA!

I'm anxious about the joystick setup too, I want to run dual sticks and rudders but I also want to see what they come up with.
