PGI said in Ask The Devs #38 that they don't plan on crit-splitting for quite a while if ever (I don't remember the exact words), so King Crab is out of the question completely.

This is going to get really confusing for the Yanks when your Chinese overlords force the Lunar Zodiac calender on y'all.

Not exactly...
IMO the KingCrab should be an exception to arm rules (rather than fitting rules). Rather than having typical actuators like most armed mechs have (letting them aim up/down, left/right), or having the room for an AC20 but only having up down aiming, IMO the King crab should have only have left/right aiming, and rely on Torso up/down to hit targets above or below it.
Going head to head with a Kingcrab in anything short of 100tons should be a death sentence, BUT use of terrain/JJs to get above or below would turn the tables.

I found the quote:
Bryan Ekman, on 17 May 2013 - 12:00 PM, said:
ZnSeventeen: In regards to critical slot splitting, as happens in the King Crab, will you ever consider having different numbers of critical slots in specific mechs as their "quirk." Ex: King Crab gets extra arm crits and fewer torso crits so the problems of slot splitting would be allayed.
A: It’s a very specific TT rule. Right now we’re not looking to add it.
It means no King Crab.

nah, look what they did with the highlander 733c they just take out the actuator but dont change the look of the arms. However, I think it will be Banshee.

They also said no Coolant. At any point if a King Crab is added or thought about adding it, it equals one thing -> Money Potential
They said no coolant as it appeared in MW4. I love how people gloss over that point when they cry about coolant.
