Here is a suggestion. Finish the game or stop taking peoples money in a "beta". The founders idea was a great one, a way to boost the development of the game while giving a bonus to those who helped it get going from the get go. But here we are over 6 months later and the game isn't fundamentally different or polished.
  • Where is community warfare?
  • Where are the social features? (TS doesn't count and the in game chat flat out is useless)
  • Why the hell isn't zoom fixed?
  • Why can't I hold down backspace in chat and have it delete more than one character?
  • Why do we still have to pick a mech that may or may not fit the map that we don't get to choose?
I don't know if the numbers support it but to me it seems it's only a matter of time before the people who are passionate about big flipping giant robots decide enough is enough and take off before the game even gets out of beta.

Bottom line, in 6 months of beta i haven't seen a significant change to the game, imho you should have called the initial beta an alpha, and started the beta with community warfare as i believe the social aspect of the game coupled with some sort of achievements is essential to the games success.

Hell I'd dump another $60 in the game if you released a co-op campaign for me and my one friend left that still plays.

6 months and you haven't seen any significant changes? Are you sure that you are playing MWO?

To answer your questions:
  • Still in Development. This is a massive system, not something that should be taken lightly.
  • Social Features like In-game voice? The programmers needed to work on that are working on Community Warfare.
  • This is a problem with the resolution and the Cry-Engine. Can be overcome, but see above on programmers.
  • This is a limitation on how the Cry-Engine interacts with the Flash-based HUD. See above.
  • This will come with at some point with Community Warfare. Also, see above.
