Greetings :P

This handy guide will attempt to show you how not to do any of the following.

A: Damage the legs of lights on your team when starting the game.

B: Proper movement out of a pack so someone does NOT have to stop short and collide with you or others.

C: Testing your weapon groups in a way that does not take out half of one of your team mates legs/arms/etc.

Leaving a pack:

The biggest mistake I see is "FULL THROTLE". It is the worst mistake you can make if you are grouped together.

I can't count the times I was fixing my weapon groups and the heavier mechs just came plowing through my light as if left or right didn't work on their mech because they were at full throtle and not paying attention and my mech had NOT moved yet that game. ( this is important see below). ^_^

If you see an unmoving mech...GO AROUND THEM...maybe they are slow maybe they "are in your way grrrr"

However I must ask you this? Whats the rush you move at 70-90kph you aren't winning any races anyways.

Take the extra second to look then engage throttle, and yes it works both ways don't just start moving and stop short.

If you notice something off move to the side just like you would while driving and fix it so you don't cause someone who may have spawned near on top of you to have to make an emergency dead stop because you took your eyes off the road. lol :D

Lights:

Same thing just because we can move at 150+ does not mean if you are at the back of the pack to zig and zag between heavy mechs.

You hurt yourself and cause them to crash also trying to pull-up because a missle (you) just shot across their 12.

Weapons: GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been near critted passing an Atlas because he assumed turn and fire right was ok because there was no one there a second ago.

NO! NO! NO! NO!

There is a wall behind EVERY cap starting point.

If you need to actually test fire your weapons go to the wall and do it there

NOT while the pack is in forward motion and most certainly NOT if you are in front of any mechs as they may walk by you and get blasted.

You have radar for a reason USE it. :D

There are other things you can do as well but this is a basic starting point for how to and how not to leave a pack.

Thanks and Happy Hunting. B)
