Im not exactly the youngest gamer in the world (28) but I was a MASSIVE fan of the original Mechwarrior games. I still remember the joy i felt at 16/17 when my younger brother got a pc and i got my first home LAN set up. I'd been playing mechwarrior games for years, and i took great pleasure in dropping on his head from above It wasn't long before we started getting friends togther and playing larger LAN games. Some of the happiest times of my childhood.

I think it's also worth mentioning that i've also read pretty much all of the books that were released (at least until my local library stopped getting the new ones).


I don't know how i missed this games development for so long, but now I literally couldn't be happier. Thanks so much for taking the universe that i grew up in and bringing it back. Nostalgia overload

I've been a big fan of battletech/aerotech since the tabletop days, but the last few game iterations (Mech 4, Mechassault) certainly cooled my passion. I'm certainly with you though; seeing all this come back to life (along with MW:T) has certainly excited my inner youth.

These are my sentiments as well, though I am a bit older and was 10-ish playing the tabletop.
From what I have seen so far, the design team is doing a great job capturing the essense of the franchise.
For the first time in the longest time I am actually excited about an up-and-coming MMO.
Can hardly wait!
