The prem time is pretty nice. but not really that special.

It works good with a tournament, I think - if you opt-in, and plan to compete, 3 days of premium days and 3 days of tournament would probably also give you a lot of C-Bills. If you just play "casually" one or two hours each day, it's still not really worth it (on the other hand ,if you always play this little, it will take forever to make C-Bills.)

You should do some kind of event grab deal for a full kit of mech, cockpit statue, hanging bling-bling, and a matching flag.

Pretty sure they can't do "packages" until UI 2.0

I have no interest in the sale... I've played most of the mechs (minus the 4SP).

The only bad deal is technically the 5S, if only because the XL engine inflates the price. If it were a 3F or even 3H, it would be cheaper.

Although, the 5S should be getting more play because of the current meta, which doesn't make it a bad deal anyways.

The XL engine it comes with is very useful for mech building. XL 255.

Selling Mechs that you can buy with c-bills farming MWO for one day. Really?!
You won't see my credit card for a long time if you keep doing "promotions" like these.

You should definitely fire the guy that does these kind of bundles.

Can we have MC promotion next week? I'm asking you to do it so that I can give you my money!

Was there a nerf to LRM's today? This post: http://mwomercs.com/...63#entry2378563 suggested there was a hotfix pushed out for it. What was the nerf?

It actually seems like a good sale to me. I may well get the 3L and the Stalker. I will definitely get the 3-day premium time.

paying MC for CBill mechs is never a good sale

depends on how much time you have, how much your time is worth to you, and how patient you are.

maybe never a good sale for you, but that doesnt necessarily mean it's not a good sale for anyone.
This.

I can only play around 6 matches a day. At that rate, it takes me weeks to save enough for an assault Mech, a set of three pushing into months.

Dropping a couple bucks to try out a new chassis, or finish off a set? Absolutely worthwhile to me. Then I can try things I normally wouldn't.

Mech sales are a great thing for me.

Im sorta in the same boat, however rather then round off a mech set for me I would prefer to save my money and put it towards a hero mech. Premium time is a bit of a waste for me as I dont enjoy the sensation of being 'obligated' to play or I'll have wasted money. Conversively a hero mechs +30% cbill boost is always there and helps tremendously to maximize the reward I get for what time im able to put into the game. Now forking up real cash, even if its quite a bit less then a hero mech, for a grindy mech that really dosnt do anything for me is pretty much a kick in the cockpit. (Especially as with said hero mech, id be able to grind much more effeciently for said cockpit kickers.)

everyone has a different definition on what is considered a "waste of money"

time is money. saving up c-bills to buy a mech takes time. if your time is valuable to you, it's not a waste of money to spend money rather than time.

This. I'm just a blue collar factory worker guy, but pulling an hour of overtime will net me roughly $50. That will cover a new mech and a month of premium time, and it gives me extra brownie points at work too.

Now, I enjoy playing more than I do working, obviously, but when I'm at home with my family there's a hell of a lot going on, so I can't just buckle down and "grind cbills" - too many distractions. So, yeah... It's pretty trivial to pick up an extra mech in a month.

Indeed. I usually keep premium time as well (with both premium time and hero mech bonus, cbill earnings are quite nice), and I always prefer buying a Hero if that's an option, but sometimes you can get interesting oddball mechs very cheaply with MC. As it stands, I have a Heavy Metal, Misery, and Flame - all of which where the first of a series of three variants. Getting a Hero for your first helps build a lot of cbills while you level it, making the purchase of the other two mechs much easier.

But, without the sales, I'd never have bought a bunch of other mechs I've got in my stables - a DDC, a 4SP, a 4X cataphract, one of my three cats (I forget which was the sale mech), an Awesome, and one of my Spiders. I've never regretted any of them (well, I suppose I sometimes regret my spiders, as I'm really just not a light pilot), and it's great to have all manner of oddball mechs for those times when you just want to do something different than your normal mechs.

I chuckled at the fluff text. Good mechs on sale for those without the grindy-time!

I sold mechs bought via MC for C-Bills once. That was when I was still mech romney and willing to spend money on MC at all. Currently... I'll wait for the MC sale.

yes, made that mistake too.....wont again. i just do some rounds with the atlas, dont get killed and get me the mechs for cbills, no need to hurry to get the mech anyway as most i have are rather useless until i got the cbill to get all the other stuff (endo, d-hs) - which means grinding just like for getting the mech. only thing i use mc for are mech bays (so i can get me another 2 atlas which are nearly the same as the others to get the elite skills), the rest is stored for the gxp conversion an that´s it....grinding with heavies has become so easy (even for me and i really suck) that i see no reason to get me that COOL mech NOW....i´ll end up having useless cbills anyway.

when they would give us the possibility to sell mechs to other players : different story. but the mc i used to get me the (damned) raven 4x are gone, the 150k cbills i´d get for selling it wont compensate that. cause someday the bays are full the gxp stuff is researched and then ... ? then i can jump into a huge pile of cbills and thats all, they´re useless when you´re at the end of the ladder (which isnt that high)

or a way to exchange cbills for mc....or ANY way to get them at least nearly the possibilities the mc have :D

If you don't have the time, or don't want to devote the time, then it's a good sale.

I have them already, just from normal playing. The only modules I don't have are the UAVs and airstrikes. Passed on both.

I have $100 Australian sitting next to me, ready to spend on this game. My thoughts on this sale?

They are selling three mechs and a walking curse. WHY ARE THEY SELLING A PIECE OF JUNK?!?!?!?

No, seriously. I'm that guy who curses being stuck with a Raven on my team, the one who goes out of his way to give Raven pilots a hard time, because statistically, I lose more with Ravens on my team than I would without Ravens - it's close to a 5% victory chance with one Raven. What I'm waiting for is a Fang/Flame/Death's Knell/mechbay sale. Why?
Dragon = all three mastered.
Commando = Three mastered, final one at 12k Master-tier exp.
