I'm finally getting ready to complete my Elite proficiencies for my Ravens, and I'm looking at the Mastery benefit. I can see how an extra module slot would be very useful, except for one problem: I haven't earned enough GXP to fill my current module slots yet, so it would be just unused space for quite some time. Would I be better off working on other 'Mechs while I earn the GXP and C-Bills to actually use those module slots?

Think about what modules you currently have, can afford, and want to install in that mech.

Are there enough module slots for the modules you want/have/can afford? If there are enough slots, don't sweat it.

The zen answer of course is to just play whatever mech you want to play, and the unlocks will present themselves when they are ready

I'd say go play other mechs, if there are some that interest you.

I've got an extra module slot for 1 mech, and don't have a module to put there. I'm not gonna sweat it. By the time I have GXP for that next module I want (15,000! for 360' Target Retention) I might have the C-Bills for it.

Assuming that you like to pilot a Raven, you can just play it and later use its mech XP to unlock master slot.

Go ahead and use other mechs. Getting all the elite proficencies done is vital. The extra module slot truly pales in comparison, and though I have mastered all my Ravens I've only rarely appreciated having that extra module slot - and I've got four modules unlocked. Go ahead and have fun with some other mechs.

I tend to only concentrate on getting my chassis completely Elited. The masters will come in time as you play them for fun or when needed. The only Mech I felt it would be helpful on was in fact the DDC as my build was helped greatly by some of the modules and even more so since the latest patch.
