Curious what you plan to equip on it that we currently have in our arsenal that will be so devastating in fire power if we don't get the 9A, we don't have assault lasers, and the 9A is the only variant that realy packs a wallop

I am aware that Assault lasers are not going to be implemented in this game and never will be as they were mektek made weapons. My Victor build however will consist of 4 Medium Lasers, 2 AC 20s with a single Jump Jet, Standard 280 Engine (It will travel at 56.7 KPH without Speed Tweak, and 62.4 with it), and 448 points of Standard Armor. Endo Steel Internals and Double Heat Sinks. This build is possible if the engine chart between the Awesome and the Victor will be the same.

The following is a speculation link, but if everything goes according to plan, this should be the build in a nut shell. The dual ERPPCs in the Right arm and the left torso are substituting for a single AC 20 tonnage wise. The 2 Medium Pulse lasers are also substituting for the 4 Medium Lasers as far as the tonnage is concerned. You will also notice that I have 2 tons available for the Jump Jet since it is likely they will be using the Class I Jump Jets for it as it is an assault mech. I will be placing that thing in the Center Torso. If they release the 9A with the same maximum armor points and engine chart as the Awesome, then this build as I had anticipated through speculation will be dead on accurate. I have piloted a K2 with 4 Medium Lasers and 2 AC 20s, and let me tell you... It is DEADLY, and I have footage of it in action to support that claim.

If we do not get it.. I may just ignore the Victor altogether. I would choose a Highlander 733 over the other variants any day of the week. There is some potential with the 9A1 as well since it is possible they may move the hard points around from the legs to somewhere else. I would be very happy if it was similar to the 9A. We will have to play it all by ear, but I am surely hoping for either of the two to be released. :)

PGI please leave the machine guns in the legs. It'll have a whole new meaning to zombie mech, just make them use the torso aim and fire wildly all over the place if the legs are moving, but fire straight if they stay still.

Never heard about gimbal-mounted?

The stock hard points hardly matter as their are always extra hard points that they add to the chassis. I see no reason we can't have one with 4 ballistic hard points.

Let us hope for an Annihilator. :)

Oh, look a 4/6 80 ton mech with JJ. I'll take it, the highlander's too slow for my taste.

Its good to see the Victor make it's debut, though I would have prefered the Banshee instead. Mostly since its the only 95 ton Assault Mech that could nail the coffin on the assault class mechs.

It is not a bad mech but it's the speed that kills it. Besides once you fix the Banshee's speed, it become a true assault mech. A good example is the Banshee BNC-3S variant of 3026.

But regardless, good job with the Victor.

It looks absolutely beautiful

But I really would love to see a non-humanoid mech again for the heavy and assault class, especially the assault class

Nice to have another mech well established in canon but I agree that it's similarity to the highlander makes me wonder how much the adoption rate will be. Granted it is faster in its base config. Weapon loud out just seems a little light at first blush. Hopefully when they release details on the hard points we'll see more variation.

if they follow their current pattern we won't see them until the month it is released...maybe a month before if we're lucky.

I just absolutely love the look of the Victor! Once again my mind is blown by the level of skill FD and the MWO team have in restyling the 'Mechs of old... just curious... how did this not hit the News wall on the frontend of the mwo site? :( I mean... it's on the "Popular Forums" deal... but isn't this more "News" worthy? :) Further noting... it's not even on Facebook page... but is on the No Guts No Galaxy Podcast page?!? LOL! Someone dropped the ball...
